Your seepometer gears have a drive gear and a driven gear, To remove both gears, 1st block your front wheels to prevent movement, jack auto up in the rear to clear the tires off ground, place jackstands both sides of auto, remove driveshaft from rearend, place pan at the end of transmission "incase fluid comes out, keep note on how much leaks out, that will be how much you will have to replace in your transmission" Remove driveshaft, remove four bolts from the transmission tail peace, remove cable, or electrical plug, whichever you have, your driven gear will be on the houseing your cable was connected to, that gear will be soild color, and a number of teeth on it. Drive gear is on the output shaft your driveshaft was pulled from, on the outup shaft is where your drive gear is a curled push down keeper holds the gear down, press it down with flat screwdriver, tapp drive gear toward the rearend to remove drive gear, carry both gears to NAPA for replacement of new ones, for they are a set, and usually the drive gear will be the one to applecore out first, reverse the proceedure and job will be completed.
