I just replaced mine yesterday. take off the air cleaner to gain access to the belt adjustment which has a nut that pulls the alternator to tighten and loosten the belt. Then from under the car there is a bolt that goes thru the bottom of the alternator. This bolt must be loostened to allow the alternator to pivot. Then loosten the top adjusting nut described and push on the alternator and it will pivot free, then remove belt and have someone on top while you hook the new belt back in place. Tighten top adjuster, the book says .3- .4 in of slack while pushing on the belt firmly. Then retighten bottom bolt.
the best that i know is to take out engine mounts and jack up the engine then it should be easy
How do you replace the fuel pump Honda prelude 1992
The 1986 Honda prelude 2.0 Si has a A20a3.
The 1991 Honda Prelude has an interference engine. If the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur. Replace the belt at 90,000 miles. As the water pump is driven by the same belt, also replace the pump at the same time to avoid future labor costs.
A 1994 Honda Prelude S would not have a VTEC engine in it (assuming it has the original engine in it). It should have the F22A1 in it which is SOHC and Non-VTEC.
possibly
Yes, All H and F series engines are interchangeable.
it's on the left side under the alternator...
What is the eaziest way to replace an altanator on a 1998 Prelude SH?
You could, but because the '94 Prelude is heavier than the '89 Prelude, it doesn't make sense to swap in a smaller powered motor.
How much is it to replace thehead gasket on a honda accord 1998?
Yes. The H22a and H23a motors can interchange transmissions.
