Disconnect the battery. Unplug the alternator and take the belts off. Unbolt the alternator, and bolt the new one in. Put the belts back on it. Plug it back in and reconnect the battery. Voila! You changed your own alternator!

∙ 15y agoIt is pretty straight forward. 1) Diconnect battery 2)Loosen bolts at top and bottom of alternetor, remove belt. 3)remove plug in terminal, and wire attached with nut on back of alt. 4)Remove top and bottom bolts, remove Alt. 5)Install new Alt. Install top and bottom bolts. 6)Install plug in terminal, and wire attached with nut on back of alt. 7)place belt back over pully, set belt tension by prying gently with a long screw driver so as belt only deflects about 1/4 inch when hand pressure is applied. Hold this setting and tighten top and bottom bolts. 8)Reconnect battery.

∙ 15y agoThe fuel pump is located in the top of the tank so you'll want to drain the tank first if possible. There is an access hole in the top of the fuel tank that you'll need to access through the trunk. I think you'll need to replace at least one gasket or o-ring between the cover and tank and another around the flange on the pump. The fuel sender is also part of that whole asembly.

well i have a geo metro and i have a 3 cil in mine but they put a 4 cil in the 90s The Geo Metro is made by Suzuki. The Geo Prizm is made by Toyota and is built in California on the Corolla chassis. The 1992 Geo Prizm has a Toyota 1.6 Liter 4 cylinder. Base engine is 102 H.P. GSi engine is the same 1.6 but with 130 H.P.
