Get a flash light and lay on the driver side floor board and look up at the brake pedal. You should see a switch with a button on the end that touches the pedal arm. You can just twist the switch loose and pull out of bracket. Unhook the wires and replacement is the opposite. To adjust lower it so the pedal arm pushes the button on the switch in and twist the switch back in place. You want it where when you barely push the brake pedal the lights will come on. It may take a couple of times of adjusting to get it right. It may have two of these switches. The other will be for the cruise control. The brake switch is usually on the right. To see which one is which just push down on the pedal and with the other hand push one of the buttons in to see which one is turning the brake lights on and off. If the switch doesn't work at all just match the old switch to the new switch.
