should be right around the crankshaft. Look for a plug into something around the crankshaft.

The crankshaft sensor on the Ford F-150 is located behind the air conditioning compressor. To replace the crankshaft sensor on this vehicle, the air conditioning compressor needs to be removed first.
That should be at the front of the engine by the crankshaft pulley / harmonic balancer
The variable reluctance sensor is the same as the crankshaft sensor on the 92 Ranger. It is on the front of the engine beside the crankshaft pulley.

There isn't one. It only has a dual vane crankshaft position sensor.
