You need to disconnect the wiring to the electric window, locks, etc.,and the door has to be removed. The hardest part I think, is replacing the door spring that rides on the lower hinge; a body shop tool is needed for that.
hi, i need to know how to replace the heater core with a/c on a 1994 gmc jimmy. a diagram would be helpful
Replace hinges.
to replace hinge pins,u need to cut the hinge, then knock out the cut peices. u then install new bushings and pin that is available at any auto parts store. the replacement pins come with a c clip to make fture replacement easy
i used to work for a Chevy dealer....if you already put new hinge pins and bushings in you now have to replace hinges that have to be welded in
Check this out. very easy job I replaced both pins; upper and lower on my 1994 Lincoln Town Car in less than an hour. The grinding the old pins in half took the longest. http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00045.html
My 94 jimmy's filter is right beside air filter on driver's side fender well don't know if that's normal or not but i would check there
i have a 1994 gmc s-15 4wd jimmy. my oil filter is right behind the driver side headlight. sounds wierd i know but that's where it is.
The fuel pump for the 1994 Jimmy is in the tank.
I'm not sure about all Jimmy's, but my fathers 1994 was in the fuel tank. We had to drop the fuel tank, and the fuel pump is inside on the float bar... Really a pain

Hello... I have the very same problem. To remove the hinge pin, you must heat the center of the hinge where the pin goes through, and use an air hammer with a flat pointed end. Manage the air hammer under the hinge, point on the bottom of the pin and pull the trigger. Steady the air hammer so it doesn't move around on you. ....Good Luck!!!!
