Back the van up on ramps then crawl in from the side under the filler door and reach up and remover the hose clamps using either a screw driver or ¼" socket set. The one near the fuel door is the easier one to remove and you will have to feel your way on the one on the tank. Once you have the clamps off you will need to try to wiggle the hose until they come loose from the metal pipe. You can also reach up and use a utility knife to cut the hose length wise then peel the hose from around the metal filler pipe. Beware that the dealer price on the Ford hose is about $90.00. If you only have one crack at the fill end you may want to consider cleaning the pipe good with some rubbing alcohol and seal with the black RTV silicone caulk that you can purchase at any automotive supply store. Good Luck!

Trying to get a 1986 Trooper back on the road All the vacuum hoses have dry-rotted Any suggestions?

Replace them one at a time if they are still connected at both ends. If not, your local library may have shop manuals that have vacuum routing diagrams.

Is window replacement an easy job in an older home?

I would not recommend trying to replace a window in an older home unless you are a professional. Older homes are more likely to have shifted and can pose issues such as the pane not being level or even rotted. Always consider a professional for this job.

How do you replace auto air conditioning system?

Not to be condescending, but if you're asking this question on Wikianswers, then you're probably in way over your head trying to do this. You haven't specified how in-depth you want to get, either. Are you just trying to replace a component, are you trying to replace the whole electrical system, are you trying to replace the whole system under the hood, trying to replace both, are you trying to repair something which may not require the entire system to be replaced, etc? There's a whole lot more to it than simply a couple bolts and washers here and there. I'd recommend you seek a professional for this.

Where is auto transmission pan plug 1976 300D?

If it isn't on the pan, then there isn't one. You'll have to remove the entire assembly just to drain it. Replace the gasket if you do. If you're trying to drain it because you overfilled it, you can siphon it out through the filler tube. Siphons are available at any auto parts store.

Why do your air shocks stay on when your 1995 Buick Riviera is running?

Perhaps the suspension air bags in the back have become dry rotted? (cracked and deteriated) therefore the air pump stays on trying to fill them even though they are leaking? It's a common problem with cars that have suspension air bags. They can be expensive to replace yet there are cheaper, aftermarket, kits out there on the internet.
