There are 2 hex shaped rods protruding from the top of the headlamp assembly. You can see these above the headlight after you open the hood. Just use a small socket (5/16" I believe) and unscrew these 2 rods and the headlight assembly can be removed . . . (it drops out of the front) . . . thereby exposing the headlight bulbs.
To replace the daytime running light on a 2004 Suburban, you will have to first remove the two metal pins that can be found on top of the headlight. The headlight assembly can be removed next. Pull out the plugs that are connected to the headlight assembly. Replace the bulbs and then reconnect the assembly.
If you remove the headlight assembly you will have access to the turn signal bulb.

Look to the back of the headlight assembly. There will be a round sleeve where the wiring goes into the headlight. Twist this counterclockwise to turn the head light bulb assembly. Pull back on the assembly to remove it from the headlight casing. Replace with new headlight bulb.
Open the hood, remove the two locks that hold the headlight assembly in place, with the two locks removed you can wiggle the headlight assembly out and gain access to the back side of the assembly to remove and replace the headlight bulb.
go to back of headlight assembly and twist it out.
To replace the headlight assembly on a 2006 Jetta, remove the front grill. Then remove the headlight assembly by taking off the screws that secure it in place. Replace with new.Ê
There is 2 large plastic screws that hold the headlight assembly`s in. Simply unscrew them and lift the headlight assemblies out then unhook take the bulbs out.
1) open the hood. 2) Carefully remove the three screws holding the headlight assembly in place. In my case the screws were black. Be careful as they are screwed into plastic. 3) Carefully slide the headlight assembly out. At this point you can replace the headlight bulb, turn signal bulb, or the entire headlight assembly. To replace the headlight bulb turn the collar holding the bulb in counter clockwise. Pull the bulb out of the headlight assembly. Replace the bulb. Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly insert the collar and turn clockwise until it locks. 4) Carefully insert the headlight assembly back into place. 5) Replace the three screws removed in step 2 being carefull not to over tighten.
There are 4 screws that hold it on.
first open the hood. at the rear of the headlamp assembly there are two tabs that look like Allen wrenchs. Turn those outward and pull them straight up. Once you have done that the whole assembly should pull out. Then you simply unplug the bulb first. Twist the headlight bulb out.
The headlight deflectors are located in the headlight assembly. They can be difficult to remove and replace, because you have to feel your way around in the beginning.
The headlight sensor on the dash of a 2004 Suburban is mounted to the left side of the steering wheel on the dashboard. To replace it, plug the wiring harness into the new headlight switch.

Once the headlight assembly is accessed, all an individual would have to do is loosen the bulb a half turn and the whole thing comes out, then replace with the new bulb using the reverse method.

Remove the wiring harness from the back of your headlight assembly. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new headlight assembly.
On older vehicles you replace the entire headlight. On the newer vehicles you just replace the bulb unless the headlight assembly is damaged.
If you're removing the headlight assembly,you'll need to remove the turn signal light lenses,then the grill. From there you will see four bolts to each headlight assembly. It's pretty straight forward from there.
Hi, You have to remove the entire headlight assembly to get to the bulb, which is located in the back of the assembly. There are three wing nuts that hold the assembly in, and those will have to be removed. Then remove the side signal assembly first, then the headlight assembly. No tools required. At the top of the headlamp assembly there are two L-shaped pins that are snapped into a plastric groove. Rotate the pins out of the snaps and pull the pins straight up. The entire headlight assembly will now slide forward to replace any bulb. Details are also in the owner's manual.
Remove the wiring harness from your 2000 Kia headlight. Remove the headlight assembly retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new headlight assembly.
