1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the front air deflector. 3. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp assembly in place while disconnecting the retainers. 4. Lift up the headlamp assembly retainers to release. Important: Note the location and position of the headlamp adjuster retainers and the locator tab. 5. Remove the headlamp assembly, pulling straight forward from the headlamp mounting panel. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness from the headlamp assembly. 7. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket counterclockwise to release. 8. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly, if required.
There are (2) pull up clip retainers that hold the headlamp assembly in place...Both of these must be removed for the headlamp assembly to be pulled forward...:)

If it's the same as a 96 Pontiac Grand AM GT, than you would need a 10mm socket and rachet there are three bolts on top of headlight remove these and just pull out headlight. Disconnect the wire going to the bulb you want to replace.

Open the hood and there are screws on both sides loosen then move flaps and pull light backwards until you can get to the bulb.
