It's actually very easy! First, you may want to drain some of your radiator to below the heater core hose level. Second, disconnect the two hoses going through the firewall to the heater core. You may have to clamp them, but you shouldn't lose much if you drained the fluid already. Be sure not to drain it into the sewer or on the ground where it can pose a threat to animals. Third, go under your dash under where the glove compartment is, and there is the "box". There are about 8 screws. Drop the box. Remove the core. Re-install in reverse. Put in fresh fluid. And you're done!
