How do you replace the mileage display light?
What kind of vehicle? The light is most likely behind the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster would have to be removed to gain acces to the bulb.
The procedurte involves removing the entire dash display in order to get to the bulbs. Not an easy or simple task. My question to you would be, just how necessary is it for you to osee the mileage at night? IF you decide it's necessary, my adivce would be to replace EVERY light bulb in the dash display, because if one has failed the others cannot be far behind.,

Does the display just dim or does it go off? There is a light sensor on the front of the system that is used to automatically adjust the brightness of the display to match surrounding/external light levels. For example, if it's placed in a dark room then the display dims and if it's placed in a well lit room the display gets brighter.

You have a light out...take a look at the trim around the instrument cluster, should be held in by a few screws. After pulling the cover pull the cluster, look on the back, check all bulbs and replace the ones that are burnt out or replace them all.
