depends on the make of motorcycle. if it is round in shape it,s normally screwed on by hand. if oblong it,s usually held in place by screws.
Unplug electrical connections Remove and cover brake lines Remove mounting bolts Remove master cylinder Install in reverse order BE SURE TO "BENCH" BLEED NEW MASTER CYLINDER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION

To replace the clutch master cylinder on a 1994 Ford Probe, first, disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover if applicable. Next, locate the clutch master cylinder on the driver's side, disconnect the hydraulic line and remove the retaining bolts. Install the new master cylinder by securing it with the bolts, reconnect the hydraulic line, and bleed the clutch system to remove any air. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the clutch operation.

First things first. Compare the old to the new to make sure you have the correct replacement parts. And always SAFETY FIRST. To replace the master cylinder you will need to remove the air filter cover and snorkle tube. Remove the wiring harness from the mastercylinder reservoir then disconnect all four brake lines from it. Next remove the two retaining screws securing it to the brake booster.Transfer all needed items to your new master cylinder and put back on in reverse order. Bleed all four brake lines at the master cylinder and at the wheels and you are off and running again.
You have to remove all the hoses etc. from the top of the engine and on the drivers' side you have to remove the brake master cylinder so the cover can clear, it takes time and it's a pain to do, good luck.

It is on the valve cover on a four cylinder. It is inside the distributor on the six cylinder. You have to by a distributor to replace it.

Its hydraulic ,you cant,check your slave cylinder to see if its leaking,its located thru a rubber cover on side of transmission,if leaking replace and bleed,also check clutch master cylinder,if not leaking,then you might need a new clutch kit.
