Open the trunk,pull the liner back in the side were the light bulb needs replacement,you should be able to see it from there. Per my Audi dealership: 1) Open trunk. 2) See one inch diameter round cut out in the trunk liner aligned with the tail light assembly. 3) Open this (he suggested a Swiss army knife blade to open it). 4) See bolt/screw. Note if on the right side the red tab inside the opening should be ignored, it's the emergency gas door opener. 5) Get 8 millimeter socket wrench and remove bolt. 6) Tail light section is now loose. Gently pull on the inside
