Open the trunk and pull the upholstery away from the rear of the inside of the trunk. You will find white and black plastic wing bolts that hold the tail light assembly in place. The white ones retain the lens assembly for that side only, while the black ones retain the entire full width assembly. The factory made the lenses so that they will swing up for light replacement, that is if you like to stand on your head. It is easier to remove all of the wing nuts and pull the entire assembly away from the car. Jack

rmove the radio and it is directly behind it.
The turn signal flasher is under the instrument panel to the left of the sterring colunm brace. (note I'm still looking for mine).

Drop the fuel tank.
Bad flasher unit or turn signal switch
In the gas tank. Unless there is an access panel in the trunk, the tank must be removed to change the pump.
On some cars the bulbs screw in from the rear and you have to take the light assy off to get to it.

The control is part ofthe turn signal switch and is very hard to replacce since there is the air bag to contend with. I suggest taking it to a garage.
The starter on a 1989 Buick LeSabre can be found on the driver's side of the engine. It is down low, back by the bell housing for the transmission.
