My defroster quit too. I found a wire burned in the connector that is found under the fuse box that is located inside the car on the passenger side kick panel.
You have to remove the entire kick panel to access the large white connector not just the fuse door. The panel just unsnaps as you lift up and out. Start from the panel seam beside the passenger seat and lift up and back. You'll also have to unsnap the carpet there too.
You'll see the white connector that has a lot of wires on it. If you'll unsnap the connector you'll see the burned wire. It will be thicker than the others and purple. Just cut the purple wire on both sides of the connector and splice them together with a piece of wire the same gauge and it will work fine.
It is tied in with the rear window defrost grid.

It may be a blown fuse. If you have kids, maybe one of them unplugged it for you. Look at the rear window. You can see where it plugs in from the inside.AnswerI had the same problem and discoved that there is a module where the FM entenna (it's in the rear window) and the defrost are plugged together. This module was the problem.
There is a control module from Chevy for $65.00 that controls the rear window defrogger and antenna signal. Its located in left rear window pillar behind the plastic trim. its very simple to replace.
You do not reattach any mechanism. You will have to replace the window regulator.jd
it depends on what dealership you go to. some say yes others say no. you dont have to change the motor, you just have to find a way to get such the regulator and or cable. No, the power window module is not servicable; you have to replace the whole thing.
It would depend on which defrost system is not working, the rearview mirrors, back window or front window.
where is the power window fuse located for a 2005 chev impala
The 2005 Chrysler 300 rear window defrost relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The rear window defrost relay switch will be near the center console.
no heat to front window went defrost is on
The rear window has probably been replaced at some point with one that has defrost. The rear window has probably been replaced at some point with one that has defrost.
No, the rear defrost is just an electric grid on the rear window. No air movement involved.
