You have to remove the door panel from the inside of the door. Break through the plastic seal and you will see two nuts holdong the mirror on - remove them - mirror will fall out. Before putting the interior door panel back on, tape the plastic seal back shut. If you don't, you will feel air coming in around the door handle when driving - very cold in the winter.
