Four.
The 2008 Lancer uses a 4 cylinder engine, therefore it uses 4 spark plugs.
02 lancer gaplook under the hood of your lancer for the specs, but the gap is .039-.042. With platinum plugs, a spark plug gap isn't necessary.
Underneath the plastic cover that has MIVEC written on it.
No, any platinum plug will do. And with platinum plugs, no gap info is necessary.
Last summer, the cylindars started to misfire on my 2002 lancer. Once the spark plugs were changed, I haven't had any more issues.
All depends on what kind of spark plugs you have. It could either be 30,000 miles or 150,000 miles.
You need to take off the cover from your engine and then you will see a plastic cover with aprox. 6 screws you need to take out those screws and under that you will see the spark plugs
It could be numerous things. From a bad fuel pump, for bad spark plugs.
If you dont know how to replace spark plugs I recomend you go to someone that does and have him show you because you might do more bad then good trying to change them for the first time.
Replacing spark plugs is pretty simple. Disconnect the battery, remove the cover and cables, remove the old spark plugs, put in the new spark plugs, put the cover and wires back on the spark plugs, and reconnect the battery.
