disconnect all electrical connectors under steering colunm. remove bolt from steering shaft and slide shaft apart. pop the shift cable off. remove the four bolt holding the colunm to the dash and remove the colunm. under the ignition switch will be a hole, with the key in the run position stick a small Phillips or what works best is a 20 torx screw driver into the hole and remove the ignition switch. follow proceedure for new colunm.
Steering column are an extremely delicate part to change out in a car, and it is important to have a diagram of one. A detailed diagram of a steering column in this car can be found in its maintenance manual.

i actually just had that done on my f350. i had a steering colum specialist do it. if bearings are worn,sometimes the shaft needs replacing as well,as did mine, having an airbag makes it a specialist job. believe me have the specialist do it

Under the dash on the left of the steering column there is a panel held in place by four screws. The fuse panel is under this plastic door.

The fuse panel is located below the steering column under a panel that is removed by turning two fasteners located along it's top edge using a straight bladed screwdriver, or a coin.
The steering wheel will have to be removed, turned to the proper place, then reinstalled. If there is an air bag system it will have to be disconnected first.
if it is 92-97 remove steering column covers then using a small drill locate small hole on the underside of column under the ignition switch drill out pin inside and slide switch out then spend about 13 dollars on new switch slide new one back in put covers back on column
My 2002 F350 has the fuse box located under the dash almost directly below the steering column. There are think 4 thumb screws that hold the cover on if I remember right.
