You will have better luck getting an answer if you spelled it right. It is a Chevy Lumina not LUMIA.
TCC is not a sensor. It is a function controlled by the PCM using a solenoid. There is no such thing as a TCC sensor. There is no such thing as a tcc solenoid. There are two solenoids, an on/off solenoid and a shift solenoid, that is located inside the transmission on the valve body assembly. It is necessary to access the valve body inside the transmission to replace the solenoids.
The tcc solenoid is part of the od solenoid assembly.
How can you get to the tcc sensor on a 2000 buick lesabre 3.8 and can a speed sensor trigger a code for the tcc
Not sure what a TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) sensor is. There is however a TCC relay and a TCC solenoid. The TCC relay is found in the relay/fuse center and the TCC solenoid is located inside the transmission.
It is easy to replace if you have the time and space to open up your tranny. Only problem with that is the tranny fluid show you will get. It is easier to just take it to a shop and tell them to replace it. Cost me 110 dollars and no fluid shower!
In the tranny.
It's inside the tranny.
The transmission must be removed from the vehicle The Torque converter must either be sent for repair or replaced with a new one or rebuilt. Depending on what the problem is, the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid on many vehicles can be changed by dropping the tranny pan to gain access.
A TCC is not a sensor. TCC stands for Torque Converter Control. It is found in transmissions that have a torque converter lockup feature, and it is controlled by a solenoid in the valve body, which is inside the transmission. If your car has an ATX transmission, it doesn't have TCC. If it is a 4EAT transmission, then it could have TCC. You may mean TSS which stands for Tubine Speed Sensor, which, of course, is a sensor. It would only be found on a 4EAT transmission, and it would be somewhere on the main body of the transmission, on the top, toward the left side.
This is a very common problem. You have a faulty TCC solenoid. I have replaced this sensor with very simple tools (a 10 mm socket, a rachet, a gasket scraper, a T15 or T20 Torx driver, and replacement parts). It took me about 1 hour to complete having never done this job befor. The following link will tell you how to replace the sensor if you have a 125C tranny (3 speed). Althou the car pictured is a fiero, the same procedure applies. http://www.kichline.com/chuck/fiero/TCC.htm Good luck!!
Sounds like the TCC solenoid inside the tranny is bad Edit by Loosenut: Check your MAP sensor
