Have never worked on Honda, but typically, the thermostat is at the end of the upper radiator hose. Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to where it attaches at the thermostat housing on the engine. Drain the radiator and remove the hose from the housing. Remove the 2 bolts that attach the housing to the engine and the thermostat will be located there. Be sure and note which direction the thermostat fits into the engine so you can install the new one in the same direction. New thermostats usually come with a new gasket (don't forget to buy gasket sealant - not the hardening kind. Also, don't forget to add coolant to the engine before you start your vehicle and check for leaks. Is there an actual diagram that we can look at to see exactly what this is saying? NO; The thermostat is located at the rear (engine end) of the LOWER radiator hose. Remove the air intake hose and a couple of electrical connectors to access it. It comes with a rubber gasket, and do NOT use gasket sealer.
