chThe thermostat is located inside the housing that the top radiator hose connects to. Drain the radiator about down 2 gallons, ( this will get the level below the hose) then remove the top radiator hose. There may be vacuum switches or temp. gauge wires plugged into the housing so be careful not to break or for get to replace them. remove the 2 bolts holding down the housing and gently tap it with a rubber hammer to break it loose. The thermostat is underneath. Be sure to install a new one of the same temp rating, and clean all the gasket surfaces before reinstalling, and use a light coat of RTV sealant on it before bolting it down. Torque it to spec, and re- install the hose and anti-freeze.
