I get mine replaced for $206.00 at the local auto repair center but I have been quoted prices in excess of $600.00 so shop around for that one. The timing belt is located on the passenger side of the engine and it requires removing the serpentine belt and tire shroud. You can pick up a Chilton repair manual for the car for $16.00 at any local parts store. It's worth it.
When I had mine done it was $297 parts and labor.
timing belt
May be a bad timing belt. If you replace the timing belt, replace the timing belt tensioner and water pump at the same time. Trust me.
I think the computer automatically calculates timing. No marks.
How do you replace the timing belt on a 1994 Geo Prizm 1.6?
Probably computer controlled and not adjustable
This procedure is more involved then can be outlined here. Purchase a HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL which will describe this procedure in detail.
Yes ,both vehicles use the same taillights
Its more than likely your timing belt!
The timing belt is located inside the timing belt cover at the fron of the engine.
1994!get a new car
It has no timing marks because the ignition timing is set by the computer and isn't adjustable.
