that is pretty simple to do, just raise the trunk, then on each side right behind where the brake light is, the carpet can be easily moved back to reveal 2 wing nuts, just twist those 2 off and that will remove the brake light lense... with it moved, just twist the connector off the lense to reveal the bulb... the bulb is a push it-push out type so just grab it and pull it out, and push the new one in place and put it back together and there ya go, good as new.

The brake light switch, on a Dodge neon, can be found under the dashboard just below the steering column. The brake light switch just unplugs. Unplug the switch and replace with a new one.
To replace the brake light on a 2001 Dodge Durango the light lens must be removed. It is held on by a clip on one side and a hinge on another. It opens like a door to access the brake light housing.
You cannot adjust it, you have to replace the lever!
