well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't see it, i can barely get my hand in to feel around. tomorrow I'll find somebody to show me how to put the darn bulb in without having to disassemble half the car.
Just remove the headlight assembly above the turn signal/daylight running light in question. It will provide you with easy access.
that seems like the easy way to do this, but if you simply get under your Camaro unolt the first three bolts from the flap directly under where your head lights and turn signal lights are...then just stick your hand in there and wha la!
NO NO NO NO. It is very simple. Lift the front end enough to get comfortable access from underneath. Remove the access panel. Once you have noticed this, you will think you were an idiot.

No tools are required, there are three black wing nuts above the headlight, take these off and wiggle the turn signal light assembly until it moves past the headlight assembly. The turn signal assembly is located by two pins at the rear so pull it forward a bit as you wiggle it. The bulb just pulls out and cant be put in backwards, so its all very easy. (It is only necessary to remove the bolt that holds the turn signal assembly in place if you don't need to replace the headlamp. The assembly may then be removed by pulling forward on it to disengage the tabs. It is also easier to get it back into place if the headlamp assembly is still bolted in--align the tab and guide in the back and push the assembly straight back to engage. Then replace the bolt.)

Hi, You have to remove the entire headlight assembly to get to the bulb, which is located in the back of the assembly. There are three wing nuts that hold the assembly in, and those will have to be removed. Then remove the side signal assembly first, then the headlight assembly. Remove the headlight assembly above the faulty signal bulb. This will give you access to the signal bulb socket. To remove the headlight assembly, open the hood, stand in front of the headlight assembly, notice two black tabs sticking up behind the headlight assembly inside the radiator support. Pull up and wiggle the tabs to remove them, this will release the headlight assembly. You can now wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the signal bulb socket for replacement.
