I replaced my water pump about 6 months ago.... I think I remember most of it. I have the 3.3 liter six engine. My water pump sits just under the A/C compressor. First, loosen the hose connection at the water pump and drain coolant into a container... you should be able to reuse it later. Remove/ loosen serpentine belt. Remove pulley from front of water pump... 3 bolts. Remove old water pump by removing the bolts that hold it on... three bolts, I think. The problem that I had was that 2 of the bolts snapped/twisted off ... the bolt heads came off with the threaded shaft rusted or siezed inside the engine block. Apparently the engine designers didn't do a very good job here... wrong type of metal and way undersized! If that happens you might want to ask for professional help. I ended up drilling new holes and using bolts/tek screws but your application may be different. Anyways, installation is just the reverse of removal... not bad if everything goes well. Good luck!
