very easy.
remove serpatine belt by using a 3/8 ratchet and pickup the belt tensioner
remove four bolts holding the belt 'wheel' on the water pump shaft 10mm
remove / gently pry the belt wheel from te shaft
remove the 5 bolts that attach the pump to the pump housing 8mm
remove / gently pry the pump from housing
clean the old gasket from the pump housing
use gasket sealer when installing the new gasket
reverse order to reassemble

Whether a 3.1 or 3.4 lt, the water pump is the upper most pulley closest to the rad, usually under a plastic cover . Drain coolant , using a 3/8 ratchet ,or serp belt tool remove belt,loosen four pulley bolts 10mm (easier to loosen before removing belt ) ,remove pulley . Remove water pump bolts ,clean surfaces well . Reinstall in opposite order.
