NO NO NO, that's what this webside is for! I'll answer that for you. first you need to remove the belt going around the a/c water pump, then you remove the bolt holding on the metal shell around the water pump. The are four little screws holding the water pump on, remove those. slide the water pump off... you may need a regular screwdriver and a hammer, there is a grease paste that holds it in place. Gently tap the screwdriver and is will losen so you can pull it off. The new water pump will come with a gasket and the grease pasteput the gasket on the water pump with the paste and line up the four holes, slide the water pump back onto the engine and screw it back iton place, put the metal shell back on, and put the belt back on and you're done, should take about 15-20 mins. Drain the water from your 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo cooling system. Remove the water supply hose. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The thermostat will lift out. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.

Remove the water supply hose from the top of your 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Lift the old thermostat out. Drop the new thermostat in and reverse the process.
its your AC Canister if you want your A/C to work i'd suggest going somehwhere like a Valvoline to have is recycled out
