Just did it twice remove fan shroud (7 bolts) unhook pos battery terminal use wrench or wise grips to remove fan. anyway possible increase tension on the serpentine belt to reduce the fan pully slipping as you trun counter clockwise. ake 3/8 rachet put shaft into the belt tensioner counter clockwise and remove serp belt remove hose clamps 2 on top smal hoses large one left bottom you'll get spillage so use basin under the car. 4 bolts hold the pump on I removed the pully direct above the pump and the tension pully to create more room to work remove the fan puuly from the old pump 4 bolts reverse the whole process to replace the new one. Chilton has a decent manual

I replaced the water pump on our 98 jimmy last motnth you will need to star with removing the raditor and the fan clutch fan. Once these items are removed you will have a clear picture on the water pump and the bolts that need to be removed.I am not a gear head and this took me two hours from start to finish.
The clockspring is replaced by removing the airbag, and by removing the steering wheel. From there disconnect the old clock spring, and put in the new clock spring, and replace everything in reverse order.

How do you replace the heater core on a jimmy?
Thank You
the simple answer is YES. though, a 94 would be either a t.b.i. system or early vortec. if it is a vortec, the swap shouldn't require a p.c.m. reflash- however if your 94 is a t.b.i. you will need to change the intake and fuel delivery systems to handle the 60 p.s.i. operating pressure for the vortec engine.
The 1997 came standard with the 4.3 Liter Vortec V6.
