consult the workshop book, cos it takes a fair while to do and it's not for the faint hearted to do. i'd need about 100 pages on how to do it. take to long to write. you gotta remove timing cover, belts, chain tensioner etc etc etc. plus you would wanna change the chain whilst you going. very expensive to do.
No, there are no guides and the timing is done with a belt, not a chain.
chain
Four cylinder has a chain. Replace it when it breaks or has so much slack in it that it jumps timing. Replace the guides at the same time. They have wear limits.
You never need to replace the timing chain if the engin use timing chain(not timing belt).
Chain
The 2.2 ecotec motor has a timing chain with oil pressure tensioner and chain guides.
Chain, inside the block.
To change a Vauxhall Corsa timing change you need to first remove the rocker cover, the alternator tensioner, heat shield, water pump, engine mount, and crankshaft pulley. Now that you have found the timing change, unscrew the timing chain guides, remove old chain, and replace with new chain.

Your chain guides(plastic guides on either side of the chain) may be worn or broken, or the chain may be stretched from wear.If the guides are missing or worn, the timing chain can cut through the front of the block.
