The water pump is run off of the timing belt. Remove the front cover, you will need to support the motor and take off the passenger side motor mount. With the cover off, mark the timing belt both on the crankshaft and the cam. so you can replace it without worring about the timing. Loosen the tension pully and take the belt off the water punp. Change the pump and replace the belt and cover.
