I just did it on my 99 Dodge 1500 Ram Van. Simply ground pin 1 of the diagnostic controller under the steering wheel, the dark green wire, upper left one. Then turn the ignition to the run position, do not crank it. The door locks should cycle. Then press lock on unlock on the remote to be programmed. The door locks should cycle again to show the remote has been programmed. Repeat the process for any additional receivers to be programmed. Worked great for me, and saved me 40 something bucks from the dealer to have them do it. Good luck
All factory Dodge systems are reset with the remote or by unlocking the drivers door with the key.
how to program remote garage door opener clicker clkid
try replacing the battery in your remote, and then you may need to reprogram your remote so make sure you know hwo to do that according to your owners manual.
no no
That is an indicator of a failed lock solenoid in the door latch.
Yes you can buy replacement keyless remotes. It will take a dealership to reprogram your new remote to work with your other remote and it is very expensive to have done. Some dealerships will not reprogram a remote purchased at locations (EBay) orther than their own parts department. These little jewels are very expensive to purchase and you will still need to have it programed for your vehicle. Programing does not come with the purchase price.
on My 2004 rodeo with a delphi remote you sit in the car put the ignition to on so all the dash lights up close the door then press both buttons on the remote for a few seconds got this answer from a main dealer worked great.
Must be and can only be programmed by and authorized Jeep (this also means Chrysler or Dodge) dealer. Cost around $20.00. Do yourself a favor and take BOTH remotes with you. When they reprogram, both need to be programmed in tandem.
You need a new door lock actuator
You unlock the car with the remote or the key in the door.
The battery in the remote may be dead, or the remote or security system may have a fault of some sort.
Open the driver door, sit on the seat and leave door open. Insert key in ignition. Turn to AC (instrument lights on), and switch off. Repeat 3 times fast. Depress the spring light switch on the door panel 3 times (the cabin lights will switch on and off). Press the remote unlock button 3 times. Exit the car, close the door and try the remote. If it doesn't work try again, or check your remote battery.
