You must have the original code issued to the vehicle from the factory. You can set your own code also, but you must have the original code as well. You can get that from any official Ford dealer. Once you have the code, you simply enter the code and then press the "1-2" button. Then press the "1-2" button again and hold for two seconds which clears all the old codes except the factory code. Re-enter the factory code and then press the "1-2" button. Then enter any five number code and it will set that code as your personal code. You can set up to 3 personal codes for different drivers. All this information will be inside the owners manual also.
