if you find out, let me know......I have same issue with my 745i, Yahoo, w40_joe TRY THIS... Sit in the drivers seat, close the door, and buckle your seatbelt. Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the second position. Do not turn the car on. Hold down the odometer reset button. Watch the gear position display that is on the dash console. It will begin to display the various service indicator symbols. Press and release the button once to move to the next item in the display. When you see a message that you need to reset, press the odometer reset button AND hold it until it displays RESET. then release it and press it again AND hold it in until it flashes to all dash marks and then resets the mileage number to what it should be reset to. Then release the button and you can continue to scroll to the next item by pressing the button once and releasing it. This really works, and was the only thing i could find online that actually did work. I hope that this works for you.
You will need a compatible BMW scan tool to reset this service light from the I drive system.
by connecting an OBD II code reader
If the fluid is full then you have an electrical, or switch problem. You will need to have a service manual if you are going to diagnose yourself.
Add brake fluid
Press the brake
Replace the brake pads.
You must replace the brake pad sensors inside or on the rear calipers... usually that is the reason why a brake service is more expensive on a bmw. all due to sensors and the availability of those sensors
When you replace the brake pads also replace the brake padsensor (used sensorwill not turn out lights), then the light will reset itself automatically
Have to replace the brake sensors once you change the brakes and the computer will reset itself after a few minutes.
