Hi,
The "Check Engine" light, or "Service Engine Soon" light is an indication of some engine or emission related problem.
The proper way to reset the light is to find out what is causing it and have that problem repaired. The first step is to connect a scan tool, or code reader, to the computer connector and find out what is causing the problem. You will get a code that indicates why the light is on, and then you can take the appropriate steps to have the problem repaired.
The problem could be as simple as a loose or broken gas cap, to some kind of problem with the ignition system or one of the sensors in the van. So get the codes from the computer and once you decode the code numbers, you will know the next step for solving the problem.
Good Luck, Greg

The Chevy venture does not have fuel reset. Some cars, like ford, kia, etc, has a fuel reset, but venture not.
You can either bring it in to a Chevy dealer or use a programmer/tuner to reset the check engine light.
