foot on brake , hold trip reset in and turn on ignition after 10 seconds insp will reset then you can release all!
hold down mileage reset button and turn on ignition until insp turns to four dashes
Have a look in the handbook. The information is contained within. This should appead for only a few seconds in the "Trip Metre" when you first turn on this ignition if I am correct. This is just your car's internal computer telling you it hasn't been reset in a service by a Vauxhall dealer. You can take it in to one to have it serviced or just deal with it
INSP mean "Inspection" or in other words "The car needs a service." IF it has been serviced recently take it back where it was serviced, and ask them to finish the job by reseting the service light. If it has not been serviced, get it serviced.
hold down the mileage reset then turn ignition on and until the InsP turns to ---- let the reset go and walla you can start the car or turn the ignition off This works on my Corsa, think the same instrument panel is in the astra Not sure if anyone knows but you can reset your service inspection lamp on your Vectra C, Astra H and Corsa C & D with out the aid of any diagnostic tools. Simply press the trip reset button on the dash at the same time press the brake pedal then switch on the ignition, keep brake and trip pressed for 10 to 12 seconds and hey presto its done!! If you already knew that i will go back and crawl into my shell
on most vauxhalls certainly on older astrasWith ignition OFF, hold in the mileage trip counter, swith on the ignition without starting the car. Wait 10 seconds and it resets the service indicator. Its the same on the citroen berlingo and many other cars
service due
