I have the same problem with my 1994 GT. I was told you have to go to the Mitsubishi dealer and have them reset the stereo. So I called Mitsubishi and they want $120 to do that. If you know a more economical method to reset the stereo, I would love to hear it. The way I got my code without having to pay for it was when I took my car to the dealer the tech left the lights on over night so the battery died. When I went to pick it up they had to reset the radio...so they had to suck up the fee. Once you have the code you use the channel stations to enter the number once code is entered you just hit the am/fm button. I do know that when the dealer had to call and get the code they gave it to me and did tell me it was at least $100 to get the dumb code normally. Might as well just pay the price. But I think you need the radio out as well to give them the serial number. Not very user friendly...hence the anti-theft.
if you tried to enter the wrong code a certain amout of times, it goes in to security mode, it will not let you enter any more codes till 3 to four days, call 1800 mitsu 2009 for your code -aojedam-
call the dealer they have a code that has to be put in it
CALL 1800MITSU2009 AND TELL THEM YOUR BATTERY DIED AND NEED THE PASSWORD
-aojedam-
just disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes
I need to reset my radio in a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I do have the code. But the radio is in OFF mode. I need to get it to CODE mode.
Thanks
As far as I am aware, the answer to the question is simply the last 4 digits of the vehicles chassis/vin no. which is obviously available from the owners documents
A programmed RKE fob (remote) or a chipped key is required.
There is a piece of sticker in the glove compartment with some number. That's the one you need to enter on the radio button. one question, did you take out the battery cable? Because every time you do, you need to enter that password for the radio system and the anti-theft system to work... My brother got a 1999 Honda accord, hope this help you.
If you take your car to Nissan car dealership and request for your radio code with the right identification, your wish will be granted.
Each radio has its own specifc code, if you did not pull the radio and get the code for the serial number on the exsisting radio it is possible that the original radio may have been replaced before and the code you have is for the original radio. You will have to go to a dealer to get the new number with proof of ownership.
Radio
I have a 2002 cadillac dts and the radio will not come on. Is there a code to reset it.
To find the anti theft code for a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, you must visit a dealer. You must have the radio serial number, the radio part number, and the VIN.
Power the radio, and then enter the anti-theft code using the preset numbers at the bottom of the radio. If the anti-theft code is unknown, contact Honda with the 17-digit vehicle identification number.
You can find it on the back of the radio (you have to take it out of the dashboard) or go to any Mitsubishi dealer and they will tell you.
Reset anti theft system
No, the factory radio is not an anti theft radio.
You will need to take it to the dealer. They are the only way to reset the anti theft.
how do you reset the anti-theft system on a 1999 Ford windstar
go to file manager and remove it man
Just reset the radio presets and clock. If the radio has an anti-theft system you will need the code to get the radio to work again.
