I have a Mitsubishi magna 02.when I was driving the car all of a sudden it asked for the code(27/12/10).I didn't played with it because I knew after 3 times if u try to enter the code its gonna lock it self,so I contact the frankston Mitsubishi and they asked me to bring the car down there.one of the friendly staff members checked the VIN number and gave me the code.I entered the code by my self but it didn't work so i went back and talk to him and he said maybe the unit is buggered or its old so I have to put a new unit for the car.
But folks I didn't give up,while my partner was driving I entered the code again this is what I done
*Hold the display button for couple of seconds so the display shows 0000
*Enter the code they given to you
*Press right track change >> button
*Soon as u press the track button press the display button again.
This will reset your CD player and it didn't cost me anything.And what I found out was we cannot by these original units anymore from Mitsubishi so if you want to put a new head unit you have to stick it with another brand.Thats what I'm going to do when I get some money.Anyway hope this will helps you.
