Usually the only way to reset the airbag light on a Volvo vehicle is to take the vehicle to a dealership and have them reset. It might cost some money but it shouldn't be too expensive.
i have a answer as this happened to me after changing the alternator on my volvo v70 after trying two different code readers and other ways .I endup buying a laptop with windows xp pro with service pack 3 and with 3gig ram also internet explorer 8
and then sending for a vida dice loaded the disc conneted it to the laptop and the car via the obd connecter and bobs your uncle no fault with air bag so a simple reset or go to the dealer thats the only way to get the srs light off
