there are a couple possibilities, I have a 1995 Pontiac grandam that I just got reset. it has been working fine so far without the alarm chip attached.
the one that worked on my car was to turn the key to the on position for 10 minutes or more until the theft alarm system light stopped flashing. then it started just fine.
the next option was to turn key on for 10 and off then on for 10 3 times and on the 4th it should be reset.
or you can try opening passenger side door; closing it and use the key lock and unlock door 2 times.
or disconnect battery for 10 mins.
this are my possible solutions hope they help.
