you can reset the theft system by placing your key in the ignition and turning it forward until the power comes on. The theft light will start blinking, do not attempt to start the car until the light has stopped blinking. this takes 10 minutes. It's a pain if you are waiting in a parking lot in the middle of winter but it beats taking a cab home.
If you are unsure if you theft system has been trigger the symptom is that your gas is shut off as soon as you start the car so your car will start but only for a second. This seems to be a problem with people installing auto-start systems. I have yet to find a way to bypass this system altogether.
Answeri have by passed the anti theft with my auto start by placeing a blank key in the ignition i learned this some time ago when this happened to me it works try it i also get the blank with the black head that way noone sees and my car starts in - 40Wiki User
