If you disconnect your battery for 10-30 minutes (cannot remember) it will -clear- the computer...but not reset it.
Afterwards, drive approximately 75 miles. That seems to be the consensus I get from people who also work on their own cars. That'll reset the computer and, after a repair, the new codes will let you know what you broke and what else was broken =D
