ANSWERIf you make sure the odometer is on the actual mileage (not a trip) hold it in turn the vehicle off and then back on while you have the button depressed and walah. It is reset!
If you have a code reader you can reset it but if you still have a problem it will just come back on and in all reality if the problem is fixed it will turn itself of in 20 minutes of driving. The 2 common reasons the check engine light comes on is gas cap and the 02 sensors.
