If you are talking about resetting the Check Engine light, then first repair the problem that turned the light on in the first place. The light will just come back on if the problem is not taken car of. You can try disconnecting the battery for around 15 minutes. This may or may not work. If not, then you will need to reset the light with an OBD2 scan tool.
