How do you reset the computer on a cadillac catera yr. 2000 after the battery has been replaced or recharged from a complete drain?

You take the disconnected battery cables and touch them together for ten seconds thus makeing your computer reset. then hook them back onto the battery + to + and - to - . it will take about five miles of driveing to let the computer re assess itself then you should be good to go.! good luck
