How do you reset the oil change light in a 2005 ford explorer?

1. Just to the left of your radio should be 3 buttons in stack order, Info, Setup, & Reset.
2. Press the middle buton, Setup(appx. 5 times), until you see the message box on the bottom right of your gauge area read, "Press Reset At Oil Change".
3. Press the bottom button, Reset once. Your message box should now read "Hold Reset To Confirm".
4. Hold the Reset button until your message box displays "Oil Life Set To 100%"
5. Press the Reset button 1 more time & it will return your message box to it's normal screen & your done.
6. Don't listen to MORONS on this website with STUPID answers. My girlfriends 2005 Explorer didn't come with a manual either, that's how I ended up here. I found the answer elsewhere & I'm posting it here now so people who need it can find it. Thanks to the guy who typed 13 lines with NO ANSWER. Thanks Idiot, good luck with your 30 cars... AnswerYou already have the qanswer to this question and it can be found in your glove box. Open that little book called an Owner's Manual. Now read it, and you will not be asking this type question again. AnswerThat's a pretty messed up answer, I have only purchased one new car and several used cars. The only car that came with the owners manual was the new one. If you now the answer help the guy out. As I do not know the answer to this question I would recommend you call your local Ford dealership and speak to the service department. AnswerBingo! The reason I say open and read your owners manual, is that some people do no know that this type information can be found there. Another thing is that you need an owners manual for the maintenance schedule and for these type questions. I have bought over 30 cars in my life and only bought 3 that did not come with an owners manual. I always had one within a week or so. They are easily replaced. Dealer, salvage yard, on-line. This is a 2005 vehicle, it is hard to believe it did not come with an owners manual. But if it didn't, then this person will need one for future questions.
