disconnect the battery and reconnect. when the battery is reconnected within 20 secinds turn the ignition on and press the immobiliser button on the remote device ( the unlock button on the key ). that should reprogramme the receiver and the transmmitter.

the factory alarm is turned on and off by the drivers door-key-switch....or with the factory remote if you have one...unlocking the door with the key turns off the alarm...:)

Factory Alarm? most factory alarms can be reset w/ key. Just lock/unlock passenger or drivers door and it will go off. Aftermarket alarms are trickier depending on who installed it. Alot of installers rig this feature to the rear door/hatch for some reason. So for 3 days I couldn't start my 1999 Dodge Durango got online and ased and this site poped up... I tryed the passenger door to RESET the alarm like it said and IT WORKED!! Even with the spare key... My Durango started right up and alarm is now RESET!!! TY
