i need a wiring diagram for my '86 Chevy s10 but it has a 305 Monte Carlo engine now.
One can find an S10 V8 drink online. Some of the useful websites are Amazon, My Supermarket, Sam's Club, Staples, Live Strong, Campbell's Soup and Weiku.
yep
Yes, people do it all the time. They sell a aftermarket kit that has everything to do that with.
Try "Jegs"
No, the 2.8 had weird trannys but a 350 v8 tranny would bolt up
Google "Jegs"
I've got a 2000 chevy s10 2wd 5 speed I'm putting a 305 v8 in it will the 5 speed work on it
The alternator is on it's way out.
There are a number of specialty car websites that can provide one with more information on how to perform this engine swap on a Chevrolet S10. Some of these websites are the S10 Forum, Car Craft, and Stylin Trucks. Additionally, there are instructional videos posted to YouTube about this swap.
Yea also any inline 6cyl or small or big block v8s
Not the traditional S10... the second generation Colorado is sold in some markets badged as the S10, and there are variants of that available with the 5.3, but that's not really the same thing.
Yes. it has been done time and time again. I had a 1989 s10 blazer with a 383 v8 and currently and an old truck on an s10 pickup frame with a 355. Do a search on Google for jagsthatrun and you will find a group with all the info and parts you need. you can also do an eBay search (or Google search for that matter) to find various examples. Best of all go to http://www.s-series.org/ there is a discussion forum specifically for v8 on there where people will be glad to walk you through the process and completion.
