I presume you are talking about how to change the direction of rotaion on an electric motor. To change the direction of a three phase motor, switch any two wires of the three phase feed, and the motor will rotate in the opposite direction.

  1. It must be mounted in a set of bearing and bolted down to keep it stationary.
  2. Then a coupling must be installed on the drive end.
  3. A prime mover with a mating coupling must be installed and bolted to the shaft coupling. With the right lever, it can also be hand-cranked in order to rotate it.
