I'm not sure how to seal your leaking tail light...but I had the same problem, even after replacing the original tail lights years later, I ended up with the same problem with the new tail light assemblies.
Anyway -- since I wasn't able to seal the tail light assembly, I took the tail light off the car and in the top of the tail light assembly above the area where the water was leaking in I drilled a small hole (that you couldn't see when the light was reinstalled) and then a slightly bigger hole on the bottom of the light where the water collects. The air flowing through the top hole forced the water out of the bottom hole. Start with real small holes and increase a little at a time if needed. I hope this will satisfy you problem.

Bad seal in light fixture
your main oil seal on the rear of engine is leaking or the timing cover seal is leaking,
NO... They are 2 different seals. If the transmission seal is leaking then the fluid color will be RED that's leaking. If the rear main seal is leaking then it will be oil leaking from the engine and it won't be red.
The 2006 Jeep Liberty rear tail light lens does not come off. The tail light is seal. You can access the tail light lightbulb through the back of the tail light, in the cargo compartment.
Either the transmission tail seal or the transfer case input seal has failed. The transfer case has to be removed to replace the seals.
Trunk seal is leaking. I had this same problem....opened the trunk...put silicone all the way around...filling in all the holes. Worked like a champ. could be the taillight seals that is what mine is doing I had the same problem.Water was coming in due to bad seal between tail light gaskets and body.Undo the tail light housings from inside the trunk.Get a tube of silicon sealer and put some on the rubber gasket.Make sure to cover the entire surface with a liberal amount.Press the tail light housing back against the body with some pressure so that you get a good seal and tighten the screws back on.Problem solved! I had thought the same as the previous answers, and put silicon sealer around the tail lights. I never would have guessed it was the third brake light, but it was. Bad seal.
Heater core leaking? Windshield seal leaking? Door seal leaking? Evaporator drain plugged?
If the turn signal light keeps burning out on an E320, it is likely moisture related. It is likely that a seal is leaking.
Because your transmission has a seal that is leaking.
Contact the dealership. It might cost you a pretty penny though.
