Bad seal in light fixture
I'm not sure how to seal your leaking tail light...but I had the same problem, even after replacing the original tail lights years later, I ended up with the same problem with the new tail light assemblies. Anyway -- since I wasn't able to seal the tail light assembly, I took the tail light off the car and in the top of the tail light assembly above the area where the water was leaking in I drilled a small hole (that you couldn't see when the light was reinstalled) and then a slightly bigger hole on the bottom of the light where the water collects. The air flowing through the top hole forced the water out of the bottom hole. Start with real small holes and increase a little at a time if needed. I hope this will satisfy you problem.

In order to fix a tail light in a Kia Rio Cinco you must first locate the tail light. Then, undo the tail light and replace it with the new materials and put the cover back on.
Remove tail light housing. Remove lamp. Replace lamp. Replace tail light housing.
The dash light fuse gets its power from the tail light fuse. If the tail light fuse blows, you won't have any dash lights either.
First, open the gate to the truck box. There will be 2 screws that need to be taken out for each tail light, located where the truck box gate latch catches the sides of the truck box on each side of the vehicle and about 5 inches below the latch connection. After removing the 4 screws, the tail light covers can be removed by gently pulling toward the back of the vehicle. The tail light covers are connected to the truck, so be careful not to break any connections or wires. When the tail lights covers are loose, twist to unlock each tail light housing from the tail light cover. Pull out the tail light from its socket, replace with a new bulb, lock the tail light housing and socket in to the tail light cover. Finally, put the tail light cover back into place and replace both of the screws which secure the tail light cover into its housing.
you don't replace the tail light you just replace the bulb in it
